Black Bro Phi Fraternity is a private, independent brotherhood founded on masculinity, unity, open mindedness, and respect for every Black man.

Black Bro Phi is an independent brotherhood. While our dance routines are inspired by those seen in D9 fraternities, our style, traditions, and culture are entirely unique. We have our own identity, values, and way of celebrating brotherhood.

Why Black Bro Phi Fraternity?

Black Bro Phi Fraternity is more than a name — it is a living, established brotherhood. We bring together confident, strong, and down-to-earth Black men who value unity, respect, culture, and real connection.

Some people question why Black Bro Phi exists or misunderstand our purpose. The truth is simple — this fraternity is for those who are real, open-minded, and ready to embrace brotherhood. Anyone with a judgmental attitude, ego, or negativity must leave it at the door.

Events, Private Gatherings, and Public Experiences

We host organized events, private gatherings, and public social experiences where we see who truly belongs and who aligns with our values. Those who step in with the right mindset learn, grow, and become part of the brotherhood.

  • BBQ Parties — food, conversation, and bonding
  • Social Dance Events — routines, culture, and energy

Acceptance and Real Brotherhood

Most of our brothers do not care about sexual orientation or personal background. Be real, be yourself, and embrace the bond. Stop worrying about labels — this is about connecting, socializing, and building family-like relationships through Black Bro Phi.

Guest Policy

Black Bro Phi Fraternity is designated for Black men. Our events are centered on brotherhood, friendship, conversation, and genuine connections.

Black straight male members may bring one woman as their guest. Women may not attend alone and must be accompanied by an eligible Black straight male member.

Black Bro Phi Fraternity will not bring, provide, arrange, or find a woman for you. If you choose to invite a woman, she is your personal guest and your responsibility.

Please attend for the brotherhood — not with the expectation of meeting women. Whether an event is all men or includes a female guest, our focus remains a relaxed, respectful, and judgment-free environment where brothers can socialize, connect, and enjoy each other's company.

Meeting Rules

Non-Negotiable.
Read Before You Come.

These rules exist to protect the brotherhood, the space, and every member present. They are not suggestions.

Hygiene & Presentation

Arrive clean, groomed, and presentable. Poor hygiene is unacceptable and may result in being asked to leave. Brotherhood starts with self-respect.

Respect the Space

Conduct yourself as a man of the fraternity — with composure, discipline, and awareness of others. Do not create discomfort, disorder, or distraction.

Commitment Upon Entry

Enter with intention. Walking in and immediately turning back due to hesitation or judgment is not acceptable behavior. Come prepared to engage respectfully with your brothers.

Brotherhood Conduct & Greeting

Members are expected to greet one another respectfully, acknowledge brothers upon arrival, and participate in brotherly connection. Cold behavior and avoidance does not reflect Bro Bond culture.

Fraternity Mindset Required

BBΦ is a brotherhood, not entertainment. Brothers arrive with commitment and respect — not conditions or assumptions. If you need to ask whether it's worth showing up, this fraternity is not for you.

RSVP / Ticket Commitment

RSVPing or purchasing a ticket means you are committed to attending. This is not a placeholder or a maybe. If you are unsure, do not RSVP.

Fraternity Activities

BBΦ hosts Greek-style dance routines, poolside gatherings, BBQs, discussions, travel, and cultural events. Brotherhood always comes first.

NO Dating / NO Romance

Black Bro Phi Fraternity is NOT a dating space. No dating behavior, no romantic pursuit, no flirting. This is brotherhood, not romance.

Membership Required — No Exceptions

Membership is REQUIRED to attend events. No membership, no entry. Not negotiable, not open to discussion.

Judgment-Free Zone

Hate, judgmental behavior, cliques, or looking down on brothers is not tolerated. Bad attitude is grounds for removal.

Identity & Face Coverings

Masks and face coverings are not allowed. If you are not comfortable showing your face, do not attend.

Photos & Recording

Photography may be allowed depending on event type. Photos and recordings are NOT allowed at private events. Unauthorized recordings may result in immediate removal.

Attendance & Exit

Arrive with intention. Leave with respect. Do not linger unnecessarily or treat meetings like public events.

Code of Conduct

Black Bro Phi Fraternity is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, equal, and accessible environment for all members, guests, and staff.

Code of Conduct

All members and participants must conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and accountability.

Members are expected to:

  • Treat all members, staff, administrators, and guests with respect
  • Respect consent, communication, and personal boundaries
  • Handle disagreements maturely, without drama
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Uphold the values and standards of the brotherhood at all times

Strictly prohibited:

  • Threatening, hostile, or aggressive actions
  • Discrimination, violent, or disrespectful conduct
  • Unsolicited explicit content
  • Demanding personal information from leadership or members
  • Hazing or attempting to threaten, intimidate, or coerce members

👉 Violations may result in warning, suspension, or immediate removal. Executive leadership has full authority to suspend or remove any member who violates this Code.

Membership Rules

  • Applicants must agree with the mission, values, and policies of the fraternity
  • Membership is for Black men only, aligning with the fraternity's cultural purpose
  • Zero tolerance for hazing
  • Prospective members may be required to complete an interview
  • Membership is a privilege, not a right

Safety & Accessibility

BBΦ prioritizes safety, respect, and equal access for all members, including Deaf and hearing individuals. Equal respect between Deaf and hearing members is required at all times. No discrimination or exclusion of Deaf individuals is tolerated.

Privacy & Recording Policy

  • The fraternity never shares security recordings of individuals
  • No personal photography or recording inside private fraternity events
  • Media capture inside events requires explicit authorization
  • Zero tolerance for bullying or harassment of staff, administrators, or members

Judgment-Free Brotherhood

All members must respect the fraternity as a judgment-free space, honor the brotherhood bond including gestures of friendship, and treat all members equally regardless of hearing, Deaf, or cultural background.

Membership Enforcement & Discipline

The fraternity reserves the right to issue warnings, suspend or terminate membership immediately for serious violations, deny access to events, and remove honors or certificates for violations. All enforcement decisions are final and made to protect the fraternity and its members.

Pledge Committee Eligibility & Symbolism

Purpose. The Pledge Committee serves as the first point of contact between Black Bro Phi Fraternity (BBΦ) and prospective members. Committee members are visually identified by a distinct jacket/crest marking to signal their role and availability to prospects and the broader community. They embody the open, deep bro-to-bro bond values of BBΦ.

To wear the Pledge Committee jacket/crest, a brother must demonstrate:

  • Approachability — welcoming to prospects without hesitation or gatekeeping; not shy, ready to engage directly.
  • Open-mindedness — embraces bro-to-bro bonds and welcomes brothers and prospects of all backgrounds.
  • Non-judgmental spirit — no judgment on sexual orientation (straight, gay, bisexual, etc.) or who a brother chooses to have sex with; not picky, supports authentic connections across the board.
  • Depth of commitment — a “heavy bro” with genuine investment in BBΦ’s brotherhood values, not performative.
  • Good standing — fully initiated member in good standing with no active disciplinary action.

RSVP & Commitment. Once you click RSVP for any Black Bro Phi event or new-member activity, you are making a commitment. Do not play with the fraternity process. People see RSVPs online, get excited, and show up ready. If you change your mind, remove or update your RSVP yourself right away. Do not leave it active and cause confusion for the brotherhood. Example: Walking in and saying “no body that is not accepted” or turning back at the door is not acceptable. This protects the integrity of events, keeps ratios balanced, and shows respect.

Symbolism. Standard member jacket/crest = full brotherhood status. Pledge Committee jacket/crest = full status plus active guidance role. The visual distinction (patch, pin, or lettering) lets everyone immediately see who represents the open-minded, no-judgment, bro-to-bro values.

Crest tiers. Pledge — simplified crest (muted/outline). Standard Member — full crest with BBΦ letters, colors, LA 2015 marks. Pledge Committee — full crest + distinct “Pledge Committee” patch or bar on sleeve/chest.

Revocation. Pledge Committee privileges may be revoked for violations of conduct standards (including RSVP rules) or removal from the committee — independent of general membership status.

Black Bro Phi Fraternity enforces zero tolerance for threats, harassment, discrimination, bullying, hazing, misuse of recording, or violations of safety, privacy, accessibility, and safe space protocols. Executive leadership reserves the right to suspend or remove any member for threatening behavior.

Governing Standards
of Black Bro Phi

The Constitution and Bylaws of Black Bro Phi Fraternity (BBΦ) establish the governing standards, cultural expectations, and operational authority of the Fraternity. These documents define membership requirements, conduct standards, event participation, guest access, chapter alignment, security procedures, and leadership authority.

These Bylaws apply to all members, chapters, events, venues, and activities of Black Bro Phi Fraternity, whether conducted online or in person.

The Founder and Executive Leadership retain full authority to interpret, enforce, and update the Constitution and Bylaws in order to protect the Fraternity's mission, culture, privacy, and safe space.
